trust me, i know from experience…
huh? well, this past track season, i tried to skip out on replacing my worn-out running shoes from the year before. i thought i could make it by simply replacing my arch supports— what a poor choice!
about a month before my league championships, i got a stress fracture (well, a few of them, actually) on the metatarsals of my right foot. my trainer had said to replace my shoes a long time ago, but i kept putting it off to save money.
you don’t necessarily have to buy $500 worth of new gear (shorts, shirts, etcetera), but at least make sure your shoes are in good shape.
don’t make the same mistake i did! :)
