Saw all the shit you were getting for the "weed post" and (even though I'm a new follower) I wanted to give you props for the way you handled it. Very mature.

Also ... as a person who does, on occasion, smoke pot, I want to just let you know that I totally respect your view point. I actually agree with you that it actually isn't the healthiest thing you could do for your body - I mean, inhaling stuff into your lungs usually isn't a great idea no matter what it is. ;) That's why you have to be careful! Anyway, its a personal choice, and everyone else should respect that your choice is to not smoke. Just my two cents though.

i’m so incredibly thankful for this message. you’ve helped to portray a not-so-hateful side of people who smoke weed, as i’m sure that the majority wouldn’t have gotten so defensive over my view. there was just poor representation on that entry…

because it’s a personal choice, i don’t feel that it’s right to shove my opinions onto others if they don’t want to hear it. all i can do is provide the facts, which are always open for criticism if they’re wrong, and hope for the best.

just because i don’t do weed doesn’t mean that i hate or look down on those who do. and on that note, i would just like to say that i think you’re awesome! :)

Thank you for the post about weed. It's the one thing which poses me off about tumblr; the amount of people who support smoking weed. I've smoked it twice BEFORE I did a course in Psychology and learnt about all the shit it does to your brain, and have never touched it since. I understand each to their own but there's clearly a reason why it's illegal.

your welcome! and thank you for giving me more input on the topic. i love listening to the opinions of those who have actually tried weed but stopped, as you’re the ones who know what it’s like firsthand.

i’m really glad that you chose not to continue, good choice! :)

i’m definitely not here to preach or judge.
despite the easy accessibility to getting some, i’ve never done weed myself (i never want to either), and so i don’t have any right to criticize. however, i do know that
oftentimes, it requires a lot of effort to get some.
you end up shelling out a lot of money over time, with nothing to show for the amount of money you spend.
anxiety disorders may pop up after quitting.
really good weed is hard to come by— you usually smoke something that’s laced with, for lack of a better word, crap. lemme reword this for all the haters: unless you grow the weed yourself, you’ve got no way of knowing what other substances are in it. i don’t know how frequent this occurs, but if there was even the slightest risk that i’d smoke something with embalming fluid or formaldehyde (which has been done by dealers before), i’d stay away from the stuff.
i’ll stick with sleeping better, breathing efficiently, and saving my money.
